The Best Engagement Ideas

March 19, 2019

If you have butterflies just thinking about proposing to the love of your life, continue reading to discover a few of the best engagement ideas which may inspire your own proposal.

1. Take your partner back to your first date venue

If you still remember the venue of your first date, why not surprise the love of your life by taking them on a surprise mystery date, to the cafe, restaurant, park or movie theatre where you shared your very first date together. If your partner is a sentimental, they’ll love the idea of getting engaged in the same spot where you first got to know each other.

2. Alternatively, consider proposing to your partner at the spot where you first met

If you want to take things one step further and can still remember the spot where you first met, it’s also an adorable idea to retrace your steps to the spot where you first laid eyes on each other. As an example, if you met at a concert, you may want to pop the question at the venue that the concert was held at.

As an alternate idea, if you met online, you may want to ask them out on a date with a text message or email that signs off with the screen name that you used and the picture that you used on your dating profile, when you first started exchanging messages.

3. Tick off an item on your loved one’s bucket list together

Another way to set up an epic proposal is to tick off an item that you know is one your partner’s bucket list, together before proposing. As an example, if your partner has always dreamed of taking a hot air balloon ride, you may want to organise a hot air balloon date, where you pop the question in the middle of a romantic hot air balloon together.

Or if your partner has always wanted to visit Egypt and to book a sunset cruise down the Nile River, you may be interested in popping the question during a sunset cruise down the Nile River.

4. Speak from the heart

Instead of writing a whole proposal speech, you’ll be far better off speaking from the heart and improvising your proposal. As at the end of the day all anyone wants to hear is how loved they are and how excited you are to be starting your life with them as a married couple. Similarly, the engagement ring you select should also speak for itself. If you are looking for ideas and different styles, Michael Arthur is a good start.

5. Involve your pets or children

If you already share pets or children you may want to consider creatively involving your pets or children into your sweet, romantic, wedding proposal. As an example, if you adopted a puppy together, you may want to tie your chosen engagement ring to a bow around your puppy’s neck.

Or if you have a child with your future fiancé, you may want to create a sign with your child, where your child ask’s your partner to marry you. Don’t be afraid to get creative, when it comes to coming up with a wedding proposal idea.

So there you have it five creative wedding proposal ideas that your partner is sure to love. Simply pick the idea which best suits your partner’s personality and remember to be open about just how much you love and adore them.
