4 Quick And Easy Family Dinners

June 28, 2018

If you’re always running short on time to prepare dinner in the evenings, simply continue reading to discover a few quick and easy family dinners, which your whole family will love.

Quick and easy family dinners:

Tasty tacos

If your children love spicy food and are keen to help you prepare dinner, it’s well worth adding tasty tacos to your weekly menu of easy family dinners. One of the advantages of opting to prepare tacos as a family dinner is that each member of your family will be able to customize their tacos to their personal preferences.

As an example, one child may create a fish taco which boasts avocado, red onion, and olives whilst their sibling may create a chicken taco which features chopped tomato, sour cream, and cheddar cheese. If you have a vegetarian or two in your family they can also substitute meat in their tacos for kidney beans or refried beans.

Mini pizzas

Mini pizzas are another quick and easy family dinner, that your kids will be able to help you with. Once again, if you opt to make mini pizzas, each member of your family will also be able to customize their mini pizza, which is a godsend if your kids are fussy eaters.

To make pizza night even more fun, why not create a competition where each member of your family competes against each other to create the best tasting or most attractive looking mini pizza?

Fried rice

If your kids are a fan of Asian cuisine, you may be interested in creating a quick and easy, homemade fried rice. Simply cook brown rice using a rice cooker and then use a bit of oil in order to lubricate your fry pan or work. Next use a microwave to cook your frozen vegetables, before throwing them into your wok or fry pan with your brown rice. You can also add your choice of meat to your fried rice such as chicken or pork.

Lastly add a teaspoon of soya sauce and a few sprinkles of chili flakes into your fry pan, to add flavor to your fried rice. Make sure to keep stirring your fried rice so that it doesn’t stick to your pan. If your children aren’t afraid of trying new foods you may want to consider adding cooked tofu or green onion to your fried rice.

Omelets served with savory waffles

If you’re in a real hurry to serve your family dinner but still want to present your family with a creative meal which they’ll love, why not prepare tasty omelets served with savory waffles. If you’re wondering how to make savory waffles, simply use a corn fritter recipe and fill your waffle maker with corn fritter batter. To surprise your kids, why not cut up pieces of crispy bacon to place in your corn fritter bacon in order to create corn fritter and bacon savory waffles?

So next time you find yourself with 30 minutes to get dinner served, it’s well worth trying out one of the 4 family friendly meal ideas listed above.
